The only cookie we use

The session cookie (`rb_session`) is created when you sign in and is used to recognise you. It is essential; without it you cannot sign in.

The cookie is closed to browser scripts (httpOnly), is only sent on requests coming from our own site (SameSite=Lax), and in production travels only over a secure connection. It lasts 30 days.

The cookie does not contain your name or email; it holds only a randomly generated token. On the server we store an irreversible digest of that token, not the token itself.

Other things we store in your browser

Your theme preference (light/dark) is kept in the browser's local storage under the key `rb-theme`. That is not a cookie and is never sent to the server.

Your language preference is carried in the address itself (for example `/en/explore`); no separate record is kept for it.

What we do not use

None of these are present on the platform. That is why we do not show a cookie consent banner covering your screen.

• Social media tracking pixels

How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you cannot sign in; you can still use the parts of the platform that do not require a session (home, explore, business pages).

When you sign out, the session cookie is deleted and the session record on the server is invalidated.

Location permission

Location is not a cookie; it is a separate browser permission. The permission you grant is held by the browser and can be withdrawn in browser settings. Your location is not saved to our database.

One exception: if you turn on "Nearby deals" notifications, your area (a coordinate rounded to roughly one kilometre) is stored on your account and deleted when you turn the switch off.
